Smart Assessor is a year old and whilst it has been an amazing first year with 85 colleges and training providers using the Smart Assessor e-portfolio with thousands of learners, there is currently much controversy surrounding the Apprenticeship brand and I wonder how the work based learning delivery model will adapt in the next 12 months?

It's Sunday morning and I'm looking out at all the snow causing travel havoc. I'm sure many organisations are worrying about whether their staff will make it in tomorrow but here at Smart Assessor we don't have those concerns becuase we use innovative technology that enables us to work remotely when we need to.

Last quarter of our first year,what an unbelievable journey. In just 9 months we launched our e-portfolio software and have more than 65 colleges and training providers using Smart Assessor.
Every time we have been compared to One File and Learning Assistant we have always been selected because, I'm told, we are easier to use, more stylish and have lots more useful features such as a skills scan, guided learning hours time sheet and Smart web conferencing rooms.

National Apprenticeship Week is being held on the 6th - 10th February 2012. The Week has been a tremendous success over the last four years and 2012 will be even bigger.

To encourage thousands of small firms that don't currently hire apprentices to take on a young apprentice aged 16 to 24, the Government will offer employers with up to 50 employees an incentive payment of up to £1,500. This will support up to 20,000 new apprenticeships in 2012/13.
